Howard K. Mc Cue, W2LYV SK SK Jan. 25, 2018 Age 104 Howard Kirby McCue Sr., 104, a longtime resident of Bordentown Township, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at Brookdale Senior Living, Hamilton. Howard was born in Morrisville, PA, and lived in Trenton before moving to Bordentown in 1938. He worked as a maintenance supervisor at Fort Dix for over 32 years. After his time at Fort Dix he worked for a number of local dealerships in mechanics, motor sales, and service and security. Howard was presented the Congressional Gold Medal in 2017 for his work in the Civilian Air Patrol (CAP) during World War II, and was active in amateur radio (W2LYV) and Military Army Radio System (MARS). He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge 28 F&AM, Bordentown, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Central Jersey, Crescent Shrine, past patron of Bordentown OES chapter 257, and was a 60-year member of Trenton Forest No. 4,Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Howard was the husband of the late Lena Peterson McCue. He is survived by two daughters, Arline Grove of Hamilton and Joyce (Ronald) Dussendorf of Melbourne, FL, and son, Howard Jr. (Erma) McCue, Livermore, CA. He will be greatly missed by his six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
