Elmo "Pappy" Painter W5HNF

My grandfather, Elmo "Pappy" Painter, passed away in November of 1998. I've been trying to remember many items to put into a book about my grandfather and thought I would check here to see anyone has any stories or memories of him.  My father is WA5COT and my sister and I used to try to talk loud enough for our Pappy to hear us on Saturday mornings when my dad would call him.  We were little kids...what did we know?
