For those who may not know, Don Jacobs - WB9YCF, of north eastern Illinois, passed away on Saturday. I apologize for not knowing all the details. I do know that the wake is in Libertyville, IL today and that the funeral will be the following day.
I have only known Don through a good friend and my friend's father who were old friends, but wanted to let any other locals know of Don's passing. Don was a good man and certainly worthy of recognition here. Our thoughts are with his family and any other friends or accquantices that may not have known.
Again, sorry for the lack of details.
