Now your talking the real code, But just one of the many variants used in different countries. I use Jack Daniels code, This needs a coherer after half a bottle!
While I'm not a fan of YT or it's clickbait and "culture", I don't see any of the people on here complaining starting their own channel and making a better video; but then again neither am I.
Really we make CW using Morse code, CW compile all the operation skills of the radio operator's in this mode, for me the CW is the mode to employ a Morse code signal.
Hams have always been tested...and used 'Continental Code'. Morse was intended for use on wire lines with 'sounders' at the receiving end, used different spacing and had long and short dashes distinct on sounders but were given up thank goodness before radio transmission of CW was introduced. Yes, CW, as I have NEVER in 61 years seen a mode indicator for 'Morse Code' on a ham transmitter. Morse would not likely even recognize our CW but might recognize a relationship of its origin. Of course a new debate could start as to whether keyboard generated Morse is still CW in the traditional sense. Two stations at 70wpm computer Morse can be neat,,but is it really CW as we know it? Likewise, is 'Contest CW', learning to copy callsigns and reports without being able to converse in Morse the 'real thing' either? On opining here, just food for thought.
Click bait for a 2 hour 9 minute p-u tube video? No thanks. Allow me to be curt: CW is the mode. Morse is the code.
