Sorry to interfere with your discussion, but being homeless these time can have different meanings. Living in the bondage of a mortgage in noises and without the right to install an antenna is a dubious advantage to freedom of travel in a comfortable van ...
A photo of you would be nice I wouldn't really call it a discussion, more of one sided rant ! Nice van mate !
That looks amazing, even if not yours. I have looked into getting even just a small teardrop travel trailer to sleep in and was discouraged by how incredibly expensive they are. The cost is too high for me to live like I'm poor.
Yes. But everyone can afford a simple tent. If you are lucky, then your car may have a flat floor and you can sleep right in it.
View attachment 825558 View attachment 825558 I have seen your QRZ page & envy some of your radio adventures. This family have been travelling around Worcestershire for many years, They also have a couple of small heavy duty yurt tents, complete with wood burning stoves. When they leave any place they have stayed, It is clean, Tidy & you only know they were there because the horses have eaten the grass. Any rubbish the cant take is bagged up & Left for collection, They are a credit to the true travelling comunity. I have stopped to talk with them many times. What a wonderful life they have. They are honest working people.
I have been trapping them in my fart sack, aka sleeping bag. This would give me much better protection.
I'm a motorcyclist - I opened my mouth and dined) The video is not mine, but a week ago I was in a similar place)
I was a motorcyclist & worst bug was a hornet down my jacket. Mosquitoes are a menace with no useful purpose. On holiday in greece i covered myself in DEET to avoid bites at night. The result was a ruined pair of plastic spectacles & a badly swolen big toe. (The only spot i missed)
