So, your weekend plans are working non-contest cw stations on non-WARC bands?

Yes. No code machine clowns for me. Just looking to work normal people.

I only get a chance a couple times a month and lo and behold I get a contest. I was wondering why 40 is glutted right now. Actually, it took a minute or two
    to figure it out

Did not take long for the usual anti-contest, do it my way contingent to show up. Sorry OM, contests are a fact of life. They will continue to be a fact for the foreseeable future.

The contest might just offer a chance to work some of those normal people who enjoy a bit of short contest contacts too. Some of us relatively normal folks do that from time-to-time also.

Of course that depends on how you define "normal"!

WPX is fun. It's unique in that every new prefix is a multiplier. Since there are only 37 WG7 prefixes, everyone would be glad to work you, Gary. :)

It's great to hear activity on the bands. It's just after midnight here on the Gulf Coast of Alabama & 20 meters is busy, busy, busy. It has been going pretty silent just after sunset here.

    I can't wait to hear the activity on 15 & 10 meters later-on today !!

Wow... WRECKING your weekend? you must not have much else planned then, other than a ragchew in Morse or two.

Me? I've got a ton of family plans and might work a QSO in here and there on Memorial Day Weekend.

You really should get out more, or quote fewer cliches.

I just worked Eastern Europe & Africa on 20. They're LOUD.
When I turned the yagi the other way, Pacific and Asia are also LOUD.
I wish all my weekends were "wrecked" like that. :p

We had some plans here, but, it appears that "ALBERTO" is going to ruin all outdoor activity. :(

I use SK6AW cluster: http://www.sk6aw.net/. To me, it seems more user fiendly friendly. :)
