    Here's a preview of the Flex-6600M (M stand for Maestro , with display), Showed at the Dayton Hamvention 2017. There will be a standard version without the display Flex-6600. This was film with my cell phone, sorry for the quality. It's short as I did not bring all my video gears, preview only...

    That is a hoot!

    Actually in the flesh it is pretty neat. The screen is very classy and far nicer than on my Maestro.

    Heard they took record preorders, and people were lined up at the order table waiting to put their orders for 6400/6600 radios when the FRS would arrive at the start of each day (after the radios were announced).

    The lower left hand button is a timer. If you press it three minutes later it goes, DING! And a pop tart falls out of the bottom. Very handy for long contests.

    The 6600 will be a very popular rig for contesters. With contest grade band pass filters for each SCU and full duplex it will save lots of money. I will be watching it closely when it becomes available.

    No; the price is competitive.

    This is hardly a IC-7300. Its a 6500 series SDR with a User friendly hardware interface.

    You guys wanted a 'box' SDR rig to put on your desk-- and here it is...
