I bought a used Yeasu 857D with the mars mod already done.
Having difficulty finding the 60 meter band reset frequencies.
I read and followed the instructions in the owners manual carfully.
    Still to no avail.
I have been told that when you do the mars mod you loose 60 meters.
Can anyone tell me if this is true.

What does an 857D mod have to do with Ham Radio Excellence? Shouldn't this be in another thread......

I spent several years in Japan and operated ham and MARS operations in that country. I remember the craft Yasme being in the news. The name Yasme is from the Japanese word: relax.
    Appropriate.
