1937 - 2014 MECHANICVILLE Bruce Arthur Stevens, 77, formerly of Stephentown, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at Albany Medical Center.


Born at his grandparents home in Stephentown on Feb. 14, 1937, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Florence Hoffman Stevens. He attended Stephentown Grade School and was a 1956 graduate of Berlin High School and attended his 50th reunion in 2006.



He was a United States Air Force veteran serving his country from 1956-1060. He was employed by Syracuse University as an electrician for 10 years and later was employed by Berkshire Farms and sold guns in Nassau, N.Y.



He was an avid ham radio operator and has resided in Mechanicville for the past 13 years.

He is the beloved husband of Leona Agnes French Stevens who is now living at the Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa and his loving sister, Darlene Stevens Bowe of White Creek, NY.



The graveside service with full military honors will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.



There are no calling hours.
