It is with a heavy heart that I report the passing of our good friend, ham's ham, and long time RANV member Joe Casazza K2KBT.


Joe was my Telecommunications teacher at Essex Tech Center. Which if course meant that ham radio was a core part of the curriculum. And whenever he was absent he would have Mitch sub which of course meant ham class day.


Joe taught us not only of ham radio, electronics, soldering, but also of professionalism. Joe was a great mentor to myself and many other students at ETC. He was one of the good ones and he'll be greatly missed.
