    C. William Clayton, 92, of Cumru Township, passed peacefully Sunday, January 11,
    2015 at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center (Pennsylvania).

    He was the husband of Barbara J. (Knoll) Clayton.

    He was predeceased by his first wife, Lucille Martin Clayton.

    Born in North Wildwood, NJ, he was the son of the late Wesley L. and Edith
    (Gabell) Clayton.

    William was a graduate of Abington High School in 1940 and was also a graduate
    of Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia in 1963 with a degree in
    Professional Engineering.

    He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II as a Signalman First Class.

    He was a member of the Reading Chapter of Quarter Century Wireless Association,
    The Philmont Mobile Radio Club for 40 years, an assistant Scout Leader for three
    years and a member of the National Watch and Clock Association.

    William was an engineer for the former Fischer and Porter Engineering firm in
    Hatboro, PA, for 19 years. He then was a freelance Engineering Consultant for 17
    years and lastly was employed for Hydroflo/Klemco in Plumsteadville, PA. As his
    avocation, he had become the official watch battery changer at the Heritage at
    Green Hills.

    In addition to his wife, William is survived by two sons: William Bradley
    Clayton, husband of Gudrun, of Virginia Beach, VA; and Robert W. Clayton,
    husband of Stephanie, of Austin, TX; two daughters; Sandra Lee (Lindemuth), wife
    of Brent Hughes, of Birmingham, AL; and Susan Joan (Lindemuth), wife of Chris
    Gonzales, of Gulf Breeze, FL; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren;
    one brother, Frederic Bauer of Marble Head, Massachusetts.

    He was also predeceased by his daughter, Constance (Clayton) Oliver.

    Visitation with the family will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with memorial
    services beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 in Trinity U.C.C.,
    2449 Cumberland Ave., Reading, Mount Penn, PA 19606. Inurnment private at the
    convenience of the family.

    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity U.C.C. at the above
    stated address; the Animal Rescue League, P.O. Box 69, Mohnton, PA 19540; or
    Aulenbach's Cemetery Association, 2050 Howard Blvd., Reading, PA 19606.

    Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Penn in charge of arrangements.
