    To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Horseshoe Bend, the Lake Martin Amateur Radio Club will be operating Special Event Station N4H, portable from Horseshoe Bend National Military Park, Tallapoosa County, Alabama from 14:00Z to 21:00Z on Saturday March 29, 2014 on freq. 7.280 & 14.325 MHZ.

    The Battle of Horseshoe Bend brought an end to the Creek Indian War, made Andrew Jackson an American hero and opened much of present day Alabama and Georgia for settlement.
