ARRL Southern Florida Section Convention at the 37th Annual Stuart Hamfest, 17 March

This is (again) a FREE hamfest and Convention- come join the fun!

The focus of this year’s event is on Storm Spotting and Emergency Communications with an educational forum led by Mike Corey, ARRL Emergency Preparedness and Response Manager and author of the ARRL Storm Spotter’s Handbook. Other forums include talking to hams all over the world (DX), plus you can learn how to get started in this exciting hobby. We have a prize drawing at the end of the day with over $2000 in Amateur radio prizes on raffle.

On the third weekend in March each year hundreds of Amateur Radio operators (“hams”) and people interested in technology from all over the state come to the Martin County Fairgrounds, 2616 SE Dixie Hwy, Stuart, Florida for the Martin County Amateur Radio Association (MCARA) Stuart Hamfest. The 37th annual event will be open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Admission and Parking is Free to all. 2012 marks the second time the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) has designated the event as the ARRL Southern Florida Section Convention.
