Welcome to the New QRZ system.

    Thank you for volunteering to
join us for this test. We're still putting the finishing touches
on these new pages and thought that it might be a good idea to
test a few of them out before we turned the whole thing over to the
    general public.

Please note that the most of the stories currently shown here
are fake, created only for testing. You are encouraged to reply
to them to test out the posting software. Just don't expect to
get any serious replies or to take things too seriously...

    What's going on here?

In case some were wondering, we're not changing our name to
The New QRZ. This name is only being used for testing
so that the server has a separate address for the Classic
    QRZ
which remains online for the time being. As soon as
we're confident that the new system is up to snuff, we'll move
it over into the regular www.qrz.com namespace.

Please send any comments or suggestions that you have about the new system to
    fred@qrz.com so that I can
review them directly. They'll still reach me if you address
your emails to editor@qrz.com, but it will take longer, as
much as a day, while the editorial staff looks at it first.

    New Features

You will notice several new features and some interesting
new behavior of some of the services at QRZ. In particular,
the user callsign record update system has been completely
revamped to include a new authentication mechanism. Many
of you will be happy to know that you will be able to login
to QRZ using your own chosen user ID and password and from
there will be able to update a variety of items without
    further password prompts.

The extent of all the new features is too many to list for
the moment (besides, I need to get back to work on them) and
so we'll save the big list for the grand opening of the new
site. In the meantime, please feel free to discover as many
new features that you can and to experiment with them.
