"Billy" Bragg, KA5PIP, of Richardson, Texas, died Saturday, 29 June 2019, at the age of 72. He was best known as the voice of "Big Tex", the giant moving statue that adorned the main entrance to the State Fair of Texas. "Billy", or "Bill", was also the founder of the Texas Broadcast Museum and of the Internet Radio Program "Yesterday U.S.A.". In addition, for years, he was a cameraman for one of the major network television stations in Dallas. Also, he was an avid collector of antique / vintage phonograph equipment. I first met him, over 45-years ago, in the early 1970s when he joined the Southwest Vintage Radio & Phonograph Society (which has morphed into the international Vintage Radio & Phonograph Society). "Billy" lived about 3-miles from my present house and less than a mile from where my wife, and I, lived when we first came to Richardson. Glen, K9STH
