HR2.0 - Dayton Hamvention 2022 is Next Month! Hamvention Planning Livestream

Today I welcome a few of the folks from Dayton Hamvention onto the stream to talk about the world's largest Hamfest that is happening in May of 2022!

This Hamvention 2022 maybe show the possible begin of the future for hamradio. The first SHF transceiver will be shown. Time to explore the possibilities with a much wider bandwith for digital communications and more.

Will be the most expensive Hamvention ever with current prices on flights, gasoline, and hotels....

 

The biggest problem at the moment is the new passport. And when I propose a new one, it will take between four to six weeks until I got it. The fair is in two weeks? lol So I have to wait for the reports about the fair. Tokyo Hamfair is the same problem, and this will cost much more. All in all these kind of events should be in the own homeland to afford for to visit.

 

Sure hope it's better than HamCation!

I thought that the Raleigh hamfest was good... However, it would have been better if some of the high roller vendors/mfrs were there...

 

SHF would be nice but.....I just want them to fix the screen on the 5100 and 7100.

Ear-wigged a WA3F - - early this morn' on 40. 2am local. Nice ragchew and funny. Telling how he and 'Angel' (a dude), will be going there, having only missed one Dayton Hamfest in 1975 due to his son's marriage plans getting in the way. This year they'll be renting a private room for meals and entertainments that is usually occupied for & reserved (in his own words) by The Dayton Mafia!
It was a QSO in a million I'd say. If you read this, C'pn Mike; - you know who you are.
Gave me great dreams. I was actually in America in my dreams after listening to that Q'.
Put the circles on the wagons boys; - I'd just love to believe I could be headed out west.
