Owning just one of them in World War Two carried the death penalty, But Ian Keyser has more than a dozen - ensuring a piece of secret history is brought out into the open.

Read "Two Eggs on My Plate" about young Norwegian's humping around the countryside with Parasets.

Great to see the Redifon R408 again!
I used a few of these while I was at sea in the late 60s early 70s.
Seem to remember you had to be careful tuning to the end of the bands as the
analogue film scale/drive cord was a bit delicate!

As a boy, I was fascinated with stories of WWII agents in Europe, hiding in country shacks and sending off quick intel via CW, whilst keeping an eye out for the SS or Japanese partols. When I was a little boy, I had many family (Dad, uncles etc.) gone to war and I was hooked on such tails forever. It is no doubt part of what my ham radio hobby is about. (Happily, all family made it home although all saw at least some action.)

Come to think of it, the R408 was definitely Post-WWII, late 60s.

You mean it wasn't anything like "Kinch" from "Hogan's Heroes?" He use to get his radio parts from "the underground" - hand delivered to a nearby German beer garden.
