Lilburn "Vernon" Bruce, 63 of Crawfordville, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024. Vernon was a native of Quincy, Florida, and he worked for many years as a paramedic in Leon County. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Mary Bruce; daughters, Heather Bruce, Stephanie Sincere (Nick), and Hilary Armstrong; sons, Eric Johnson (Callie) and Trevor Johnson; grandsons, Riley Sincere, Tristan Armstrong, Tyson Johnson (Tani), Uriah Johnson and EJ Johnson; and great-grandson, Zion Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Big Bend Hospice. (bigbendhospice.org, 850-878-5310). A Celebration of Vernon's Life will be held at a later date.
