Tobias of Woodridge, former 30-year resident of Hinsdale passed away on April 14, 2024. He was born in Chicago on June 28, 1955, to Ralph and Anna Tobias. He married Patrice Foster on June 26, 1975, in Hinsdale. Bruce is survived by his wife Patrice; children Erin (Joshua) Boyce, Patrick Tobias, and Meaghan (Ryan) Evans. Grandchildren Liam and Ronin Boyce, Nora, Ella, Quinn and Reese Evans. His sister Dianna (John) Tomisek, nephew Todd Tomisek and his children Brandon & Alyssa; niece Dianna (James) Cates and their children Jack & Luke. At age 18, Bruce entered the fire service as a cadet, serving for 15 years until he retired from the Hinsdale Fire Department in 1983. In 1975, Bruce entered into business with his father-in-law as co-owner of Foster ServiceMaster, and in 1998 joined ServiceMaster DSI, with whom he was employed until the time of his death. Bruce was also a long-time member of the DuPage Amateur Radio Club, serving as chairman of the ARRL North American Field Day for 25 years.
