That might help shake loose some gear but shipping some of that stuff wont be cheap. I worked on some of it as a USN ET and use the RCA designed/built RBB and RBC at times, great receivers that still work fine without replacing caps and resistors for the most part.
At $3000 in 1938-39 dollars they sure were built like a battleship! And they dont drift either.

    Hello KM1H,
Great website... The USS Lucid was in service up until the Vietnam War era, so the communications equipment is a bit more modern... but you're right.. it was very expensive... The SSR-12 and SSR-13 receivers and URT-502A and CG-5234 transmitters don't show up on eBay very often... Do you know of any available for sale?
    Thanks.Dave

The SRR 12/13 arent that scarce but not particularly favored by hams due to many early problems and the hard to service circuitry using soldered in place subminiature tubes. I hated working on them and havent had any interest in owning so I cant help there.. My more modern TX experience after a WW2 Fleet Oiler, AO-109, was the SRT family and the URC-32
