    A ZUNE is Microsoft's sorry attempt to get people to not buy IPods, but rather a Zune.

    Well the zune 120gig was definitely superior to the iPod classic having owned both...but I looked hard between the touch and zune HD and the touch had them beat there. Never owned a touch based device before. The features are cool and I'm writing this post from it right now but for music playback I'd take my zune in a heartbeat. The itouch is kind of like the ts-2000 good at everything great at nothing.

    I know that my Zune 30gb is about as tough as any drive based player I have ever had. Mine has seen several VERY large static discharges from some of the material conveying equipment at work, and all it did was lock up and reboot itself.
