Sad news to report: Pierre Tromp, ZS1HF became SK on September 4. His activities included ZD9M from Gough island and ZS8M from Marion island. RIP Pierre.
Pierre Tromp died at 61. He had been active by Marion Island in 2010/2011 and had also operated as ZD9m. The activity from Marion Island also caused a sensation for his complaints about the indiscipline of some operators, especially Italians, to whom he was not very prepared. RIp
Shocked to hear of Pierre's passing. A super guy who will be greatly missed. Met him on one of my many trips to S Africa and spent a great afternoon just talking about everything and nothing Rip Pierre from Phil M0RRU
