Once again, I am monitoring 14.329 from 2200z - 2300z.
AHH I feel like I need an alarm clock for this! If I remembered I would have totally joined in. I have been getting really tied up with a website that I am working on... lose track of some things unfortunately.
No Check-ins? Where the bands open at all?
No check-ins once again. I didn't spin the VFO much, but 20 seemed to be in it's usual state... You can hear but not well.
Maybe we should do an alternate band (40m) or something. 20m won't work for the two of us.
AW MAN!!! I missed it again! What time is it again? I will try my hardest to get on next friday. Let us know if it's on a different frequency!
How about a net on 80 or 40 meters? With the conditions of the sun cycle the lower bands are fairly nice these days, especially 40. Unfortunately a lot of us younger hams don't have much experience on 80 because it is full of good-ole-boys nets. I think 80 meters would provide a great opportunity for a youth net at least in regional applications, since usually i only hear the east coast and maybe some of the midwest. Anyways it might be worth trying if you can find a clear frequency, though noise may be an issue, and i know a lot of youths run barefoot. Just my 2 cents
REALLY sorry guys, but i will not be there tonight...cross country practice. Also school starts in a couple days...AHHH! No more time for ham radio!
ahhh ok, np school first! I would most likely have actually been there tonight haha... luck right...
are you trying to get check ins every week? what day is it?
I think that would be fun. Fridays at 6pm EST.
We should probably have a secondary frequency on 40m. 20m is not very good at the moment.
Are any of you guys on twitter? It would be great to tweet the frequency and time of the nets.
I will be mobile Friday evening around 5PM local time and would love to check in to a net either on 40 or 20 meters if I knew a frequency. I will listen to 14.329 on my hour drive into town Friday.
