    Using two Monitors

Nowadays it is very handy to use at least two monitors when using a logging program, perhaps a digital mode (MixW), satellite tracking and maybe a software defined radio such as the Flex 5000A. It is necessary to have a desktop type PC with at least one PCI-E expansion slot and either do it yourself or have a new video card installed. A higher wattage power supply is also necessary because of the new video card. This additional hardware is usually less than $250 but having two 22 inch monitors side by side makes for some very enjoyable operating. One of the newer mouse devices is handy, especially the one that uses a trackball so that you can quickly go from one monitor to the other and doesn't require a mouse pad.
