    I say "congrats" on the upgrade. But unless you work much CW, WHY do you even want a "vanity" call? It no longer means anything, other than vanity. I COULD have had a nice 2x2 or 1x3 vanity call if I wanted when I upgraded to Amateur Extra, but I saw no legitimate reason. Of course, YMMV.

    Thanks!. The main reason for the 4 digit vanity call sign is simply so that I can pick something that is easier to say without tripping over my tongue.

    Won't you "trip on your tongue" with a NEW call sign, rather than remembering your original call sign? I sometimes have trouble remembering (or rather, USING) an absolutely required 1x2 club call sign from that location, better than my original (ca. 1966) 2x3 call sign!

    ROFL... Michigan Frog's version of "Hello Ma Baby" is my wifes ring tone. Most of my friends and family have Looney Tunes ring tones. :)
