It just occurred to me that I have never actually owned a Hammarlund receiver! I've used many of them, and I've had a couple of borrowed SP600JXs in the shack for a science experiment, but I've never actually owned one. The ONLY brand of boat anchor that I've never owned. American ones, that is. I still want a Volna K, though.

    I am unworthy.

I currently have the SP400, SP600JX17, JX14, HQ100C, HQ110A, HQ129, HQ140XA, HQ145X, HQ170, HQ180. I really like them more than Hallicrafters--although it is hard to compare the two brands. I am not looking to add to the above list. With the acquisition of a HQ180 just recently, I feel pretty well covered--unless someone really has good things to say about the HQ150 or HQ160.

    Don't feel bad.

I've been through many violins and never owned a Stradivarius.:(

My first Hammy was a HQ-129x in 1956.

    Currently I have 2 HQ-120X, 2 HQ-129X, 2 HQ-140X, HQ-145, HQ-160, HQ-180 with silencer, HQ-200.
Also a RBG-2 which is a modified HQ-120 and close to the 129, built for the USCG during WW2.

    Also SP 100X, BC-779, BC-794, BC-1004, SP-400X.

    Plus 3 HC-10's.

I have an utterly irrational desire for an HQ-105TR. Yeah, I know, I'm weird...
