Since using the new Unicode and libraries, a whole lot better with Win 8. But then again, I should say as well as anything works with Win 8... :)

    I hear you.

The best solution for a Win8 machine is Linux. Many of them will not let you roll back to Win7.

You do realize that's only good for 30 days unless you purchase it? Just want to make sure you know what you are getting into...

I seem to be having the same, or very similar problem. Starting yesterday, HRD could no longer sucessfully upload QSO data to LoTW. The Logfile report was very similar or the same as that shown by the first user. I then went from vrs 6.2.4.280 to 6.6.72, and tried again. As the other user reported, when I uploaded an HRD log entry to LoTW, the "Finished" notation never came up. Closing that box, however, the HRD log file column for LoTW Uploaded changed to "Yes." A quick visit some time later to LoTW revealed that the new QSOs were, in fact, not loaded to LoTW.

Computer is an older Pent 4 Windows machine running XP.

    Here is my LogFile report:

Open Internet Explorer's Tools menu and select the "Internet Options" command. In the "Internet Options" window, select the Advanced tab, and scroll down to the Security settings. Enable the "Use TLS 1.0", "Use TLS 1.1", and "Use TLS 1.2" options (not all may be present on IE versions earlier than 11). Click the OK button. Can you now upload to LoTW?

AA6YQ, I don't know if your comment was for me, but I did as you advised. I found only "TLS 1.0", which I enabled. Then I reloaded HRD, and submitted log entries again. I did get the "Finished" notation from HRD, but going over to LoTW's home page and opening my QSO file, they are not there. I allowd 10 min for the update, and saw that ARRL was not reporting anything special about a que of logs that might mean an unusual lag time for updates.

Yes, K0MB, my comment was for you (and anyone else experiencing similar symptoms).

45 minutes ago, the LoTW Queue length was 7 minutes, and could have increased since then.

If you didn't previously have TLS enabled, and if you no longer see the errors you posted above after enabling it, then likely that was the issue.

Thank you, AA6YQ! Although I don't understand what had changed to cause my problem, or what the heck TLS is, but enabling it seems to have been the solution. LoTW was apparently backed up, and the new uploads are showing now. Here's hoping it stays that way!!

Last I heard HRD will no longer be supporting the XP OS.

I see that as a Bummer for us old school XP users.

It sounds like a Browser auto update hosed you a bit. MS is killing XP slowly.

    Have Fun.
