The Yellowstone Radio Club and YARES. ( Yellowstone Amateur Radio Emergency Services ) received Montana wide Media coverage during a planned emergency siren test for the county of Yellowstone in Montana. They were covered by two local TV stations and a local newspaper, the Billings Gazette. This coverage has people talking about ham radio and rethinking the hobby. They are realizing how amateur radio is much more that just talking on the radio. It is committed to emergency services and volunteers in order to keep our communities safe during any emergencies that could arise. There are two videos from the news stations clips that can be viewed on the Yellowstone Radio Club web site. http://www.k7efa.net The Yellowstone Radio club is to be congratulated on all their community efforts.
