The yeasu ft - 7800 has adjustable APO ( automatic power off ) settings for various times that the rig will shut itself off if no one transmits, etc the rig ...( most rigs do this these days ).

My question is --- just before it shuts itself OFF, it makes a LOUD beeping noise ( as a warning that it is going to turn itself power off ) for 2 - 5 minutes BEFORE it shuts itself off. Is this adjustable or can the BEEPER audio be turned down / or even turned off to where the unit just " turns off " when the allocated timer is up ?

I have a ft-1500 yeasu 2 meter mobile that is similar, but the noise is for only 10-15 seconds before it shuts off...( not 2 - 4 minutes like my 7800 ).

    suggestions - ideas ?

Other than that small problem I like the rig... !
