    Dear hams,

I'm new to this forum. I have a Yaesu VX-8DE transceiver which I've been using for about a week. During this first use I found some issues which I don't understand.

    1. VHF amateur band. When the same frequency F is set on both VFOs, the unit receives F+900KHz and F-900KHz. As you may see on the video, both channels are set to 145.600MHz and both start receiving when the other unit transmits on 144.700MHz and on 146.500MHz. If the frequency on one of the VFOs is changed, the issue does not occur.

    2. Lowest VHF band. When the difference between channel 1 and channel 2 is 14550KHz, the unit oscillates even when the antenna is disconnected. When one of the frequencies moves 5KHz up or down, the oscillation stops.

    3. Airband. Antenna disconnected. VFO B set to 121.0MHz. Channel 1 shows reception when set to 124.395, 124.825 or 125.350. I didn't verify other frequencies. When one of the frequencies moves 5KHz up or down, the oscillation stops.

Any input on these issues will be appreciated.

Thank you very much and 73 de 4Z7DTF
