Yaesu releases firmware and software updates for the FT-950

FT-950 upgrade

I have used my FT-950 for over a year and have been happy with it. A nice radio for the money. I finally got around to CAREFULLY reading the manual. I have a dislike of manuals in general, but I should have listened to the advice of so many. Yesterday I downloaded the software from Yaesu and upgraded the radio. It was very easy even for a semi-computer literate person like me. Just follow the instructions carefully. Note that during upgrade the rig must be OFF, but the power supply is ON. Don't even question this! The radio is like a new one now. I may be retiring the old Kenwood. 73's Emilio AG4T
