I just got Yaesu FT-60R about a week ago. i really like it. It took me a couple of days to figure it out after I read the manual.. I also have a Yaesu FT-250 which is an older (25 year old) base/mobile radio. It only has 2 meter on it so I got the FT-60R

    No problems yet..

i use mine to hit the satillites with good results i use a arrow dual-band yagi model146/437 a hand held mike and the channel selection go,s as follows -example - ao-51- channel 100 rx435.310--tx ch.101-145.920--rx 102- 435.305--tx ch.-103- 145.920 rx 104-435.300-ect.ect. it,s simple works good when money is tight. you must adjust for the doppler effect but this is part of the fun. and a camera tripod is very helpfull. look on youtube lot,s to learn 73,s bob.

The FT-60R is quite popular. We had a small ham radio event in my city 2 weeks ago, and I saw about 5 people walking around with that same radio. I've had mine for a little less than a month. I'm very pleased with it.
