The prices are better then the conversion from Yen to Dollar, that I saw a few weeks ago. I think it will be one hell of a radio. But I'm not sorry I got the K3. I still like the Mark-V for SSB, and the K3 is great on CW, and excellent for remote control and digital. At the same time, the 5000 looks like a nice rig. If I had lots of money, I would replace that Mark-V with a base 5000 in a heartbeat. With the LP-Pan/K3 interface to the PC, I am pretty happy though. CW Skimmer is just the best ham software in decades. It is lonely over in that corner of the shack.
