    Good afternoon,

We in the Purdue radio club W9YB have an FT-920 that we use as our main HF rig. It has been IF tapped at the connector J1008 on the main board, as recommended by G4HUP in the following PDF:

We recently lost the panadapter feed. I opened the radio to inspect the high impedance amp we used to make the tap, and it's working fine with an injected signal at 68.985Mhz.

That leaves the radio itself as the issue. I tried to measure the IF direct from the port J1008 but it seems there is no IF signal present! Otherwise, the radio works perfectly fine. I have been using WWV @ 10Mhz as a test signal and it comes in loud and clear. How can it be that there is no IF signal on this port but there is obviously one present for the radio to function?

    Ideas appreciated. Thanks!
