I am about to buy a FT-900 and it needs a bit of work. Apparently the issues thus far are: it receives fine up to 21.5MHz. above that fails. There are 4 VCOs in the radio and the upper one seems broken the other 3 are fine. it seems to transmit at full power on CW, AM and the AM modulation looks ok on a spectrum analyzer the SSB is funny. the carrier is not fully suppressed, but does seem to have a low and high SSB signal. It is rather inexpensive but then again you get what you pay for. Anyone ever repaired one of these rigs?
