Hi there, I recently had a problem with my FT1000D. The modulation “LSB, AM and FM” all sound OK as usual. The “USB” modulation, however, sounds trimmed, it lacks volume lows. As if there was a lack of transmission bandwidth. It has nothing to do with the microphone. Does anyone know what the problem can be? Thank you and 73
It's certainly possible that a component has aged and caused the carrier point on USB to wander. You may be able to adjust it out, but given the age of that radio, there's likely some component drift involved, and that might require finding and replacing it.
