    Hello dear 817 users!

I came up with an affordable solution to those 817 rails.
The current versions are printed with PrimaValue PLA filament, but I am expecting a shipment of PrimaSelect filament soon, which is even stronger than the current version. It's printed with high infill which gives it enough sturdiness to protect the precious 817 from falls and absorbs shocks.
The protection comes with all the screws you need. The legs are foldable and the stiffness of the joint can be adjusted as needed by tightening or loosing the screw.
The rails have 2 holes so you can use a strap on the radio as a manpack solution. If you want to attach your mike holder to the frame, you can drill two holes at the bottom to attach it. I may add the holes in the upcoming versions.

Currently available color is Blue. Orange, Green and Silver (reinforced PLA, a bit more expensive) will be soon available as soon I get the materials.

    Price for now is 20€ / 22.50$ + international shipping (around 10-12€ / 11.00-13.50$)
If you want your callsign on the protection frame + 5$

Contact me on order@9a3akf.com or via PM.

Thank you for your support! If you have any questions, let me know :)

I know there are already such adapters on Ebay. But they are all from Thingiverse and it is actually illegal to take that design and sell it ( is licensed under the Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial license.)
So I designed my own because I did not want to cut my original power cable to use the DC plug. I found the same plugs with the same specs only a bit bigger, so I needed to redesign the casing anyway.
    Long story short:

he set comes with another powerpole pair for the powercable, preassembled as on the picture. You don't need to change the screw, the original fits and still enough room to use a ground connector.

    73s!
