relating to other stuff is not good. just learn it. i could post a bad methode my scout master told us to memorise code. it took years to get rid of it. if it creeps back in its a mess...if you connect 2 letters you may always stumble.i will never tell what that was...
Unless using my Epic Gate controller, I run my radios direct off the battery while the controller charges it. Some brands can be noisy.
Kan ga Roo ; i've found folks in certain services learned this way ; but not the marines in Nam. My Nam vet Sigint friend said they would play the sound and say in drill Sargent mode "THAT IS A K MISTER"
Very nice video. I waited until the right hand column data was filled, then took a screenshot, printed it, and now have it for reference. Thank you. As for comparisons, I'm accustomed to low current draw rigs. The G90 isn't bad for an SDR radio (think of it as a computer and you'll understand). The non-SDR to SDR comparisons I have are these: FT-818ND: Receive 3oo/450 mA (squelched vs not) Transmit at 6 watts (max) 2.4A SG-2020: Receive <400mA (there is no squelch) Transmit at 20 watts (max) 4A Xiegu G90: Receive 640 mA (no mention of squelch) Transmit @ 20 watts (max) 4.4A Bottom line: A 10A LiFePO4 battery would allow two 8hr nights of listening w/o transmit, perhaps one night of occasional ragchew for the G90. Again, not bad at all considering all the features. And I agree that an old 6A Astron PS would be quite sufficient.
