    Here's mine, it actually works very well and I have excellent audio reports. It is a Panasonic WM61a electret capsule, 2 AAA batteries, blocking cap/pull up resistor, on/off switch all strapped to a stick. Total cost $3.50

    I once took an old Plantronics ('80s/90s vintage) headset and used the single headphone as the mic capsule. Electrical taped it to an old flat blade screwdriver. Worked really well. It looked like a lollipop mic. Sorry, no pics.

    IIRC, back in 2003 (can't remember the month), QST had an article on a homebrew condenser mic. Perhaps someone out there can link or share that article again?

    My next mic attempt will be to interface an EV US607L to my TS-430S. Stay tuned...
