Heard SSTV bleating from my scanning 2m rig and wondered what's up?

Intro video - some conspicuous big names in space business missing as sponsors.

Be aware its not hard to receive SSTV images from the ISS. Just download and set up an app like MMSSTV. Any 2m receiver can work; HT, mobile xcvr, scanner, SDR. Connection can be made simply through acoustic coupling ie put a speaker or headphone near the microphone of the app device, although a male to male mini-phone jack cable works quite universally too.

Here is a partial image poor example I made last night on a sub-optimum pass and setup. Using a IC-275, ext spkr cable to PC sound card input, and a small coat-hanger 1/4 WL GP on top of a 10ft pole outside the shack window. I will leave the radio on the channel all week and expect to see some better results on future passes.

Many other far better near perfect images are being uploaded to the,

    ARISS SSTV gallery server

When will the ISS pass over your QTH? See the N2YO website.

    Have fun & 73 !

Its better to know the correct ETA and if its visibel or not. And with the SSTV PD120, which ISS provides, a pic can be run through in around 2 min. My personal favorite is PD50 with 1 min. So look at the timeframe of the meeting and mind the Doppler-Shift.

    I ended up with 5... 2 clean (9 & 11), and 3 OK'ish (8, 10, & 12)...

I don't think I did too bad, considering I picked them up from my mobile rig

    想问一下,之前的SSTV只有NA1SS,为什么这次有NA1SS和RS0ISS,有什么讲究吗
