World and generations connected by amateur radio
The JARL reports Tokyo's Amateur Radio Ham Fair 2019 welcomed a total of 42,000 visitors in two days. This was the highest number of visitors since it became a two day event

A translation of the post by Yoshinori Kashio JG1KTC reads:

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the visitors, exhibitors, and everyone involved.

This ham fair is from the international amateur radio alliance (IARU), the United States, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Luxembourg, and Germany, as the catchphrase "World is friends! Amateur radio!".

A lot of amateur radio operators from all over the world participated and enjoyed various exhibitions and events in the venue and exchanges with Japanese amateur radio operators. Towards the Olympic and Paralympic Year, international communication and mutual understanding may have further deepened due to the common hobby of amateur radio.

In addition, the admission for youth (under 22 years old) and women was free this year, so many friends from school, club activities, and female amateur radio enthusiasts also visited. In addition, many OMs attended by families with children and grandchildren.

Through all the people I met at Hamfair, I strongly feel that Amateur Radio is a very important foundation and foundation that connects people across borders and beyond generations and genders. In the future, we will continue to promote JARL's important mission of inheriting this amateur radio together with its members and sharing its appeal with more people.

On October 20th (Sunday), the third WAKAMONO Amateur Radio Event will be held in Akihabara, Tokyo. Together with related organizations and companies, it is an event to convey the appeal of amateur radio to young people who will lead the next generation and to experience it.

In addition, from this fall, we have started accepting applications for 2020 for the “Antenna Third Party Compensation Insurance” exclusively for JARL members.

We would like to ask for your cooperation as we will continue to make efforts to manage the federation of the main players.
