"Winter Field Day"

    Is this weekend I guess. Didn't pay much attention to it.

    But I hear a lot of activity on 146.52 FM simplex calling "CQ FD" from various mountaintops. Worked one on a mountain in eastern San Bernardino County, about 220 miles east of me (AZ border stuff), so they're "out there."

    It's not a VHF contest, but if people are braving the hilltops might be a good opportunity to see what can be done.

    50F here and daffodils are sprouting. It was much colder last week.

    77F here and...um...rabbits are humping and stuff.:p

    We had "winter" a few weeks ago...it was 40F at night and 58F daytime...but that didn't last that long and back to normal now.
