Windows 7 machines Upgraded to Win 10

    I used the freeware program offered at the following link and it works well. It will find and post your W7 key https://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/

    As for upgrading from W7 to W10, you still can at no additional cost. Go to the MS "media installation download" site. And, follow the instructions. The most critical issues are with graphics card drivers. Go to your card vendor site and download W10 drivers first, then proceed with the upgrade. The MS software bombed on me several times because it apparently needed some drivers in place before successfully installing. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15088/windows-10-create-installation-media

    Even though MS says the free upgrade provision has long ago expired, it still works.

    Microsoft support was good for the first couple years that windows 7 existed, but after they fixed the major holes and dropped the service pack... their usefulness went away.

    Any smart user (of any operating system, not just 7) will know better than to trust windows to keep them secure.
