I have not used an IC 7300 buyer nor have I misused one.

I am guilty of using "misplaced expectations" but that is a phrase
    brought up by someone else.

Not quite sure what it is you think that you thought, or thought that you think.

    (Are you?)

Even though I've never tried really high level RF exposure, I know enough
to suggest to others that it's less than the best idea.

When the IC 7300 came out, it sold well right away. I did some research and discovered
a number of reliability problems which seemed credible to me so I did not buy one.

I have a couple of Icoms. They perform well-enough but their user design is inferior.
Ergonomics is important to me and to some other ops.

I read your posts as simply contemptuous and hostile. Maybe you do have something
useful or enlightening to say but I've not seen any evidence.

You guys are all TOO funny. EVERYBODY knows the Heathkit HW-101 is the very best rig ever built! The IC-7300 is very good. But it's still a distant SECOND!

    That's troubling.

    Any updates on this issue?

Kind of makes me glad I sold mine, after 2 years... sort of like a built-in service requirement?
