Who has made contact with Antarctica, what frequencies and time of year?

    I logged KC4AAA on September 10, 2017. I noticed the callsign on DX Summit, ran down to the shack and fired up the radio and listened. After the first burst of QSOs I made a call and snagged him. He, myself, and others had long QSOs talking about what they were doing in Antarctica.

    I just saw this in the latest Ohio/Penn DX Bulletin:

    2020 AAW. The 17th Antarctic Activity Week (AAW) takes place between
    February 10-17th. For more details and a complete list of participating
    stations can be seen at:

    ^ that's great but I don't think the stations involved are actually in Antarctica.

    DP1POL is on 30m FT-8 right now.

    My contact last March was 17M FT8. There is usually a station monitoring down there I see spots of my own call on PSK reporter from Antarctica very often
    that can give you a good idea when you have a good band / path. Other than that I have multiple contacts on 30M CW and 20M CW, 17M SSB and CW . Most contacts are from November - March , a few at other times.
