Since the close of International Crystal Manufacturing (ICM) back in 2017, I am wondering where crystals can be ordered?

    Crystal Specifications:
The crystal specifications as defined in the Kantronics D4-10 Operators Manual are:
    1. Fundamental mode
    2. Frequency make, +/-10ppm (parts per million)
    3. Series resonant
    4. Resistance at 75 ohms, maximum
    5. Co = 7pf maximum, 5pf typical (pf=picofarads)
    6. Drive level 10mw maximum
    7. Temperature stability: +/-30ppm -30C to +60C
    8. Case: HC-50/u or HC-42/u

Thank you in advance, 73, JohnF

    What frequency?

There are clock crystals available for quite a number of frequencies and those crystals are cheap and widely available. There might just be one of those crystals that would work in your application.

San Diego uses 439.050mhz for 9k6. I do have an assortment of other xtals. I would need to check the local oscillator first to find out the correct formula since there are two versions. The source is not a dire need at this time, but it would be good to know. If I choose to do a 19k2 point-to-point I will make use of another frequency set.

Otherwise, if you get desperate you could always substitute a programmable oscillator like this, using a uC or Arduino to control it:

International Crystal (or Inrad) really closed their doors? Bummer.

Try Bomar Crystals. I heard they are now back to dealing in small qualities. But, I would expect to pay around 40 to 50 dollars for a custom made crystal these days. Overseas suppliers like Quartzlab may be a tiny bit less costly.

BTW, Inrad was not part of International Crystals Man. (ICM.) Inrad products are still being sold by the folks who know own Bencher.-Vibroplex.

I have ordered from Frequency Management before, just didn't remember. Thank you to W7SZS for the education and documentation. Hopefully the packet system will keep ticking along for another 10years +. The D4-10's are great transceivers. 19k2 anyone?
