I've been curious about that. In the show it's referred to as "The Heathkit Ham Shack", but no specific model names

The scenes at the beginning of the movie 'Contact' come to mind.

Christmas Bunny. Real hams, too. All the SAR group were hams. See them at 2:21 in the trailer below.

What is this TV thing you speak of?
    I must be missing something.
    But I doubt it.

The Heathkit stuff is the DX-60 (maybe DX-60B) transmitter, HR-10 receiver and HG-10 VFO.

The newer movies in the Planet of the Apes series has lots of radios in it.
Tintin had a Hallicrafters where he sent and received morse code.
Both HTs and HF have been seen in The Walking Dead

This week's episode of Designated Survivor on ABC-TV had a brief scene where law enforcement officials were set up while trying to capture a domestic terrorist hiding in an underground bunker. On a table beside some sort of unidentified transceiver was an MFJ antenna tuner. Interesting prop.

In the Sean Connery movie "Anderson Tapes", the teenager who "saves the day" has a Heath HW-100 or HW-101.

There was a pre-World War II "Nancy Drew" movie in which her boyfriend was an amateur radio operator. When he, and Nancy, were imprisoned in the basement of the crook's establishment, the boyfriend uses an old diathermy machine to send code which is interfering with every radio around.

Also, there was a "one reel wonder" movie, again produced just before World War II, that was completely about amateur radio.

I read a lot of Nancy Drew stories, but did not know about any movie.
