When is "mobile" not "mobile"?

    99% of my operating HF is mobile. I never sign mobile. I guess if it's a pileup and I really want it I could.

    My opinion has always been that if you are not moving, or at least "on the move" then you are not mobile. But then again, I think that if you are inside your air-conditioned, generator powered motor-home, with a crank-up tower, then you are not within the spirit of "Field Day".... so many of these distinctions are weakening anyway

    Worked KX6BU on 15M back quite a few years ago. I was running a TS 520 and a Hustler mounted on the bumper (remember that?). He called cq right where I'd been listening and it was 5x8 both ways. And I did use "mobile".
