As for Amateur Radio - it should be remembered that even in the coldest days of the Cold War, most Soviet bloc countries not only allowed Amateur Radio but encouraged it. Everyone knew about Box 88, Moscow. QSOs with Cuba were common and no problem.
In fact, the number of countries, that simply don't allow Amateur Radio is pretty tiny - regardless of the overall wealth and politics of the various countries.

Let's review -last month, we were postulating about nuclear war whereas now we are discussing the potential of ham radio there. Most might consider that a big step in the right direction.

Some people are too blinded by political ideaology to see the truth even when it's obvious.
Well at least I am not a member of the DNC (Darn Near Communist). There are 3 possible outcomes and none are ideological. Biz as usual, WW-III, or Peace. Which Ideology do you support? I support trying by taking the first step to peace.
