Tell that to the hundreds of VHF rovers during contests who stick short beams on their cars at 15' high at best and often lower!

I am guessing Olivia is a poor choice of mode for 2 meters, PSK31 would have been far better for keyboard to keyboard contacts

2m loop, I was using one at 20' before I got the tower up and had no problems working stations out to 130+ miles. Still have one on the side of the tower that I can switch to during contests. Saves time having to rotate the array when someone is calling me off the side or back. Plus I run an EME array now and the pattern is very narrow. I have a separate coax run to the loop as a backup in case of an issue with the main array.

Or, as a slogan "When there's nobody else!"

    Wisdom for the ages:

Parent (to teenager): "Be home (as "in the house") by 10:00 PM."
    Teenager: "Why?"
Parent: Because nothing good happens after 10:00 PM."

Everybody who heard this during your "informative" years raise your hand.

    Regards,

Sounds like ARRL needs to get the word out to media outlets in the affected areas.
